To reduce the risk of Covid 19, we have changed our model from a B&B to a Self-Catering, non-serviced holiday let (2 household maximum share), which significantly reduces the Covid risk for guests and our family. Although eliminating risk completely is difficult, we are working to reduce the risk as much as is possible, while maintaining a comfortable experience for you during your stay. 

All new arrivals must agree to have their temperatures taken using an infrared medical thermometer before entry, anybody with a high temperature registered will be refused entry.

Hand sanitiser is sited at the entrance – we would appreciate you using it every time you enter the cottage and regularly during your stay.

Any guest who develops Covid symptoms must let us know immediately for the safety of our family and future guests. Any guest who becomes unwell during their stay will be required to make their way home at the soonest possible time, isolation will not be available in the Cottage.

Guests will not be permitted to entertain guests, i.e. family or friends that they may be in the area to visit.

We are maintaining enhanced cleaning of all hard contact points, i.e. door handles, hand rails, light switches, bedside cabinets, bedroom furniture tops and handles, tv and remote, hairdryer, increased disinfection throughout the shower rooms, increased disinfection throughout the social area, which includes the kitchen, dining and sitting area. To limit contact points, former B&B staples such as hospitality trays have been removed completely and we ask that you do not take food into the bedrooms.

Extra care is being introduced on departure days for keeping each rooms laundry separate and appropriate PPE is worn when required.

Signage to encourage social distancing and enhanced hand washing/sanitising at entry point, shower rooms and social areas. Our family also use this door, so please be respectful and leave us plenty of space. We will do the same for you.

All payments to be card or cash.

All bookings generate their own registration which provides automatic track and trace details.

All guests are encouraged to relax and enjoy their stay with us, however, our main priority at this moment in time is the safety of all involved at Newminster Cottage and we appreciate your understanding and assistance in carrying out these guidelines.
